Our Story
Serving the Northshore of Chicago since 1984
While I was working for other people, I learned very quickly how to spot a good company from a bad company and how to treat both customers and employees. As an apprentice, I soon learned what defines a good company - one which respects both customers and employees and takes pride in a job well done. In 1982, I formed Mordini Enterprises (a part-time business) with the purchase of my first three flat rental property. Because the property needed work and I had no money to fix it up, I bought the tried and true Time Life Home Improvement book series to supplement what I had already learned and went to work.
In 1984, I decided to take that construction knowledge and focus on customer service and Mordini General Contracting was born. In the nearly 38 years since then, I have shared my knowledge and experiences with my customers as I have guided them through remodeling projects ranging from basic bathrooms to major renovations to new construction.
I feel one of the keys to the success of my business is open communication. I feel it is necessary to keep the client in the continual communication loop as to what is happening on their project whether it is good or bad news, and involve them in each step of the process.
My motivating belief remains: There is no substitute for an honest days work for an honest days pay.
